The 2nd sign that a man is ready for marriage

Do you know that money is necessary for life, here on Earth? Poverty at home is never God's Will for any family. If that happens, It is 100% possible that the head (breadwinner) is NOT doing something right. Perhaps he is sleeping.



Verily, it is easier for children to go to their dad for money, and go to their mom for food than the other way round. They naturally know (by God's design) that "Daddy is our financial sponsor" and "Mommy is our meal maker."



Money (Material Ability) is the 2nd sign of a man's marital readiness. There are TWO groups of properties in Marriage - Gifts (Automatic/Less Effort properties) and Rewards (Manual/Great Effort properties).

Even though gifts such as intercourse, children, love, life, food, etc may come automatically or with less effort in marriage, it requires great unrelenting efforts mainly on the part of the man to meet his family responsibilities (especially with finance) in order to have rewards such  as good intercourse from a happy wife, raise up good and intelligent children (by good education), great respect and value of love from his wife, good and healthy life, good and balanced meal, and a happy home! No good thing is Free! Even our Salvation was purchased expensively by the highest currency - Jesus' Blood, and we are beneficiaries.



By God's gracious design, this life is neutral for all people. But while the lazy persons reap bad/poor life, the diligent and responsible persons reap the amazing rewards of good and rich life. So God is just looking on. He has given each man the inherent ability to make and amass good wealth for his life and material needs! So it is highly incumbent on Man (not God) to dress and till the land and keep the garden to reap good harvest. Wealth is everywhere man is! Man only needs to ask the simple question, "What is the problem here, and what solution can I give?"



So what then is Money/Wealth? In my small understanding from much studies, I humbly conclude that "Money" is the reward from giving a material solution to a human need/problem in exchange. For example, you get money when you provide water/food to one who needs it. Why do people sell water? Some people will be thirsty and because they cannot get it themselves, they give money in exchange to the seller for it.



So then, who is a rich man? Simply, he is a solution provider. There are many problems at home, especially in finance, because the man is NOT ready to give SOLUTIONS.



NB: The young man is NOT READY yet for marriage if he has not made or is not making good money to plan for his innocent wife, future and children.

The wife is NOT the burden bearer; she is only a HELP MEET. She is a supporter. And the kids are their mutual responsibility (God told them, 'Be fruitful and multiply...', Genesis 1:28). Therefore, it becomes a serious FAILURE mainly on the part of the man if by his irresponsibleness and intentional poverty, he puts all the pressure on the wife to struggle to keep the home, while his children's future crushes due to his financial irresponsibility.



MY HUMBLE COUNSEL: 

Marriage does not create or guarantee wealth! Wealth creation is from wisdom and knowledge. So let the young man who sees himself ageing and wants to marry but is financially unsound, WAIT. Let him pray to God to wake him up from sleep and laziness, all in the name of wanting to marry a rich lady who will sponsor all the marriage. Let him ask the LORD for this Wisdom (James 1:5) to help him identify good opportunities and take up or apply to earn good money. Marriage is  a Lifetime work! Let not the young man borrow or take loans to marry. Good Marriage is a long term holistic capital, mental, physical and social investment. So it is a great COST which you prepare for. Do not marry expecting to get profit to pay your loans/debts. If you get gifts on your wedding day, that's fine. But that is not income! It's the people's partnership contributions to your marriage. They give to testify they are partners/supporters to your Union. Therefore, those gifts needs proper management, handling, investment and accountability. Friends and family give them to you to meet some needs in your marriage. So those gifts (cash/kinds) are not your income yet, until you properly invest and manage them. 



THE FINAL MYSTERY: 

Did you know that God created everything before making man? And did you know God did not rain because there was no manager (Man of age).


Here is the Tension in the Text: (Genesis 2:4-8).

Did you know that the first thing God gave to the man is not wife? Wife was the last. Look at these verses, "7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground,...8 And the LORD God planted a garden Eastward in Eden; and there He put the man he had formed."


What do we see from the text? Firstly, God gave the man a "Work center" - the garden.


To do what? "...to dress (cultivate/till) it and keep (manage/care for) it" (Gen 2:15). Note, God did not give man money automatically. Rather, He placed the money in the garden, and instructed man to work it out... So money was in the work. God was telling the man to wake up and turn the garden into his great wealth. No wonder, money (note) is from trees and coin is from minerals from the ground!


What was God up to? He wanted to prepare man for the Big surprise. The wife is Man's big surprise! And so God wanted to train him how to care for, manage and prepare for his wife who is only coming to help him in the work just as he cares for the garden. If he could care well for the garden, then he could care for the wife also. This is why Ephesians 5:25 entreats Husbands to love (care for) their wives, just as Christ (Jesus) loved (cared for) the Church, and gave (sacrificed) Himself for it; just like "Adam cared for the garden and kept it."



And guess what happened next! The moment God was certain of man's readiness (having proving himself through the work, and caring for the garden), God said, since he is now ready, "It is not good that the (ready) man should be alone (without a support); I will make him a help meet for him." (Gen 2:18). Then surely came his wife - the big surprise, because the man was asleep when God made her (Gen. 2:21-23).


THE BIG LESSON HERE:

Most ladies' marriages are delaying because their Right men are sleeping or not preparing.

Until a man is financially ready, he is not ready for the Big surprise - (the wife). That is why Bible says "He who finds a wife finds a good thing (Prov 18:22). The man only finds her because he was ready for her. And God brings her. And so when she comes, she is filled with great joy and assurance of her safety and management. And whatsoever she does, becomes a support/multiplier to the husband. She is a "Help meet". That is why she is "a good thing to her husband." The man prepared for her coming. An unhappy wife is an indirect trouble/curse to the husband. Man, please wait and earn good money for your marriage and home. If you really care for her, work  and earn enough money to manage her. She is your sole responsibility! And she will ever be grateful to God for having you...


NB: It is mandatory for the man who seeks to marry and remain a good, happy husband and father ; to prepare - work, earn good enough money and to have more money than his wife. If it becomes the opposite,  marital problems are inevitable.

My dear young man, please arise, prepare, and make your wife, children, home and future proud.


My COUNSEL TO LADIES/WOMEN: Please pray for God to wake up your man, and help him to prepare financially before your marriage. Don't accept a loan wedding. Wait for him to be self prepared.
